Truly an interesting creation, this custom looks to be something out of a movie. Spotted on Barn Finds, check out this 1946 Ford Coupe, which screams to be finished as it holds some interesting characteristics and design choices.

As usual, this custom Ford had its top chopped, but things took a sudden turn with its custom front end. To put it into description, the front looks to have been elongated, flared with some massive fenders and a luxury-inspired front grille.

The stacked headlights add add class to the front end, but it is an odd choice to have the wheels protruding and not tucked under the custom front fenders. The bodywork is interesting in and of itself as it looks like the builder was indecisive on what to do since you can see the markings where the original fender and the custom body work began.

The rear end has also seen a massive overhaul as it has its taillights recessed and hidden. The body work once again looks to have begun at the fenders, which has ditched the chrome trim for a completely smooth rear fascia.

Aside from its questionable aesthetics, the Ford has a 390 cubic-inch V8 mill which is mated to an automatic tranny and a Ford 9-inch rearend. What’s been claimed to have hundreds of hours and funds invested into it, it still needs wiring, brakes, glass, fuel cell, and of course more body work and some much needed paint.

Call it what you want, but this Ford Coupe stands out for better or worse depending on how you look at it. Whether it’s destroying the iconic classic or reinventing the 60 year old design, this custom Ford is clearly asking for evaluation.

Rest assured, this may be custom, but a different kind of custom. Whether this custom caught your eye or left you with a bad taste in your mouth, we’ll let you be the judge.

Would you take the time to finish this project? If so, what would be your first order of business? Feel free to share your thoughts below.
