Another Darwin Award Nominee On Facebook?

This brain-deficient individual was dumb enough to be the underage drunk driver in a hit-and-run drunk driving collision, but that’s not all – he turned to Facebook to announce it to the world.

Facebook is great. It provides a forum for those individuals that are clearly on the bottom rung of the intelligence ladder to provide fodder for the rest of us to laugh at.

This guy, 18-year-old Jacob Cox-Brown of Astoria, Oregon, blew it not once, not twice, not thrice, but four times in one night. His first strike came when he made the dumb decision to get behind the wheel of his car after downing one too many alcoholic beverages (strike two, underage drinking). Then he hits someone’s car (strike three) and rushes home to tell the world about it on Facebook – strike four

This guy’s behavior transcends the realm of belief and makes you think “He really couldn’t be that dumb, could he? NOBODY is that dumb.”  But he is. And thanks to the single stroke of luck he had left – police didn’t get to him until approximately nine hours after the crime -he’s going to get off with nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

The police were notified by two separate individuals about his actions, but by the time they arrived at his house he was no longer drunk. Despite the fact that he admitted to the crime, and left parts at the scene that traced back to his car, he can only be charged with two counts of failing to perform the duties of a driver. That carries a class A misdemeanor rating in Oregon, which can net Mr. Cox-Brown a one-year jail term and $6250 fine. May he get the max, if only to serve him a daily reminder for one year just how dumb one can be.
