While keeping tabs on the automotive world and trying to keep you abreast of what’s going on, we’ve been sharing what we find and telling you what irks us. But lately we’ve shown you a few sad cases of cars that have been left to rot, with a rather bleak and dismal future. These cars that we shared with you didn’t stand a chance, they fell into the hands of an owner that had no intention of selling – nor any intention of restoring their lump of rusty metal that we used to call a muscle car.
So it’s nice to finally be able to share a winner with you, and this one comes from our friends at CarsInBarns.com again. The major difference, though, is that this car wasn’t out rotting in a field – it really was in a barn and with a little elbow grease this one cleaned up nice!
Time to buy some lottery tickets, too.
The story goes: the car was in a barn on an old man’s property and had been sitting there for years. When the owner was approached, he surprised the potential buyers when he told them that he was willing to sell it. They worked out a deal that made both of them happy, and the car went home with it’s new owner.
A little bit of time cleaning ‘er up and some normal maintenance on this girl and she shined up bright and became the car that you see before you at the top of this article. If you look for it, you can find some minor imperfections here and there, but this barn find is one that has some people sitting just a little closer to the screen with the same thought running through their heads: “Why can’t I find a car like this?” What a great find!
