Not every Mopar owner wants to beef up their vehicle with a Ford 9” rearend. Thankfully, Mopar did create the 8 ¾” rearend, and it’s capable of dealing with serious horsepower. Moser Engineering has made it even easier to equip Mopar A, B, and E-body vehicles with a brand new 8 ¾” rearend through its MUSCLE PAK line of products.
The Mopar 8 ¾” rearend uses a removable carrier design that has several advantages over other rearends. These rearends are much easier to set up and service since you can remove the entire center section. You can also build these rearends to handle a lot of horsepower with the right parts.
Mopar introduced the 8 ¾” rearend in 1957, and you can still find OEM units out in the wild today, but the Moser MUSCLE PAK 8 ¾” unit has several advantages over these old rearends. The MUSCLE PAK rearends are manufactured with all new parts that are made right here in the U.S.A.. MUSCLE PAK housings are also made with seamless 3″ O.D., 1/4″ wall steel tubing.
You can equip your MUSCLE PAK 8 ¾” rearend with custom alloy 30 spline bolt-in axles, bearings, studs, seals, heavy-duty retainer plates, new housing ends, t-bolt kit, and Auburn Grip-N-Lock Posi. Moser also offers a variety of gear ratios, stud sizes, brake, and powder coating options as well. You can also have the MUSCLE PAK 8 ¾” rearend delivered to you assembled and ready for installation.
