BendPak is getting into the custom truck game, and it’s doing it with a purpose. The company just launched its first-ever vehicle project, the Valor C10, a full custom build of a classic Chevy C10 designed as a rolling tribute to the U.S. armed forces.

The build is in the hands of Dustin Hacker and his team at Nostalgia Hot Rods. For BendPak President and CEO Jeff Kritzer, this project is personal.

“After more than 40 years watching BendPak grow, I’ve always dreamed of building a custom vehicle that reflects who we are and what we stand for,” said Kritzer. “This is a tribute to the generations of men and women who wear the uniform, defend our freedom, and sacrifice more than most of us will ever know.”

It is starting with a second-generation (1967–72) C10, but this build is a ground-up transformation. While the exterior will keep its vintage American look, everything underneath will be modern performance. The plan includes an upgraded chassis, a supercharged engine, advanced suspension, and a special paint scheme to honor U.S. service members. As Hacker said, “This isn’t a restoration. It’s a transformation — from workhorse to rolling tribute.”

You don’t have to wait until its planned completion in summer 2026 to see it. A sneak peek of the build-in-progress will be at the SEMA Show this November 4-7 in the BendPak booth (36131). The company is also documenting the entire process online on its website and on its social media accounts. This project is a unique way for the automotive world to give a nod to the military, using a classic American truck as the canvas. The Valor C10 is set to be a powerful and meaningful build that everyone can follow along with from start to finish.
