Black seemed to be the theme at Goodguys 22nd Summer Get-Together in Pleasanton, California. With its fair share of street rods and kustoms, it was Sammy Nijem of San Ramon, Calfornia, and his 1968 Chevrolet C-10 pickup truck that had us stopped in our tracks to gaze upon its visual prowess.

This pickup stood out from the bunch not only with its low stance, but its clean body lines, and tucked wheels. The tucked black and polished lip rims sat nicely under the C-10, giving the truck an aggressive, low profile.

The truck’s lightly modified and debugged body give the truck a sleeper look, which drew us in to see what else it had to offer. With its door handles shaved and its chrome bumpers free of rust, Nijem’s C-10 looks to be well kept and immaculate for its age.

A hefty Chevrolet V8 engine sits quietly under the hood, modified and complete with tuned port injection. Nijem’s truck looks mean and sounded good leaving the show on the hot summer afternoon.

We took a peek inside the C-10 and were astonished at the attention to detail. The door panels had a custom patterned graphic that resembled a bandana, coupled with plush light tan seats that also complemented the simple and unmodified dash.

Nijem’s second-generation Chevrolet C-10 deserves credit where credit is due simply because this is one clean kustom. Keeping it straight and simple, Nijem’s C-10 is a show stopper with its sleek look and frame-touching stance.
