Ever been pulled over and accused of drunk driving, but it was just your messed up steering? …Us neither, but let’s avoid that.
There aren’t too many things worse than having a classic car with a badass, modern powerplant, but a steering setup that’s not – whether it’s wandering all over the road, knocking, making strange sounds, has horrible response, or something as simply annoying as a broken tilt function.
Well, Camaro owners can rejoice.
Flaming River, who’s long been known for their high-quality steering components, has recently announced the creation of a brand new tilt steering column for 1967-’68 Camaro.
Equipped with a USA-built stainless-steel body available in three different finishes, and factory dash mount connection – now’s the time to ditch your old one and get rid of those aforementioned problems (or avoid them altogether by upgrading).
It features an ignition key approved by General Motors, a tilt with five different positions, as well as hazard and turn signal levers. Cruise control and dimmer functions, on the other hand, are available as options. It’s available in powder-coated black, polished stainless-steel, or paintable mill finish, allowing for customization.
Its easy, bolt-on installation can be finished off with a number of additional accessories that were released alongside the column. The floor mount, wiring connector, and u-joint directly attach to your factory or other aftermarket steering components.
