Last week Cadillac released some details about the upcoming CT6’s Panaray Sound System, which in turn gives us a rendered look at the car’s interior. Along with a look at the inside of the car, a pair of official images of the exterior of the all-new sedan have just been leaked, showing the full monty of what General Motors’ answer to the BMW 7-Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class will look like when it hits showrooms later this year.
The Panaray Sound System, engineered by Bose, sports a grand total of 34 speakers throughout the cabin of the CT6. That includes pairs of speakers embedded in the headrests of the front passenger seats, along with speakers in each door and a number of them in the instrument panel, along with a rather sizable subwoofer (which Bose has undoubtedly named something other than “a subwoofer”) nestled between pair of speakers on the rear shelf.
“We asked Bose to create something truly special for this new vehicle: an unbounded sound system, providing an audio experience unmatched in any other luxury automobile,” said Travis Hester, Cadillac CT6 executive chief engineer. “Cadillac CT6 customers will be elated by what they hear and feel when they switch on the Bose Panaray system.”
As far as the leaked images go, we can now see just how closely the new CT6 follows the design language of the CTS, though the CT6 does offer a bit more bling than its smaller stable mate. Under the hood is the all-new, twin turbocharged V6 we detailed earlier this month, which outputs 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.
So, what do you think – does this new flagship Caddy have what it takes to go toe-to-toe with the best from Europe and Japan?
