Since the debut of the Lamborghini Huracán Performante, the car has taken the production car lap-time records on eight international circuits. The new records – set during press trials and carried out by magazines at Vairano, Balocco, Contidrom, Mira, Wroughton, Boxberg, Le Mans Bugatti, and Anneau du Rhin – confirm the Performante as one of the fastest production super sports cars in the world.

The Performante delivers results on the track while at the same time maintaining engaging and dynamic road driving by using a dedicated chassis set-up, an all-wheel-drive system, and powertrain enhancements.

“The Huracán Performante Spyder takes the zenith of Huracán developments, combined with the enhanced emotion of driving a convertible,” says Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Automobili Lamborghini. “The Performante already provides heightened feedback and emotion from road and track driving, and the Huracán Performante Spyder puts the driver even closer to asphalt and air.”

The Spyder comes powered by a 5.2-liter V10 naturally-aspirated engine. The all-wheel-drive platform moved from 0-60mph in 3.1-seconds and the permanent four-wheel drive Performante Spyder accelerates from 0-62 mph in 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 201 mph matches its coupé counterpart.

Like the Performante coupé, the Spyder outputs 640 hp at 8,000 rpm. More than 70-percent of its torque is available at 1,000 rpm. The Spyder returns a weight-to-power ratio of 2.35 kg/hp, with weight distribution front 43-percent, rear 57-percent.
The Performante design cues of Super Trofeo race cars and performance motorcycles with their naked, open-frame streetfighter characters remind that the Huracán Performante Spyder is a super sports car as capable on the track as the road.
