Celebrity is a fickle thing. Much like the popular kids in high school, the broad appeal of these persons rests on a very precarious edge. One day you’re the most popular human being on the planet and the very next, you’re yesterday’s news. Teen idols are easily the most processed of these celebrities.

Teenage tastes are the most fickle, and change like the weather. It takes a truly talented person to weather those changes and mature in the public eye (Kurt Russel, Scarlett Johansson) or they’ll fall back into obscurity and infamy (Danny Bonaduce).

One such teen idol is Nick Jonas of pop trio, the Jonas Brothers. Nick was spotted fueling up his black Dodge Challenger on Febuary 21st at a gas station in Los Angeles last week according to Celebrity Cars Blog. Disney Dreaming also ran the story and got some better pics. You might be asking, “Why on earth is Street Legal TV doing a story on Nick Jonas?”

We like to think that Nick being seen driving a muscle car is a glimmer of hope for the future. In a world of celebrities rambling on about Prii (plural for Prius) and Chevy Volts (plural for $45,000 mini-sedans that get 30 miles to a battery charge), it’s great to see a few Hollywood types who actually want to drive cool cars. In fact, Nick’s car corral is pretty impressive for a teenybopper.

A little research revealed he actually owns a ’68 Mustang and a ’10 Harley Davidson F-150 Limited Edition pick up. Not exactly a Jay Leno-level collection, but at least he drives American V8s, and that’s saying something.
