Classic Instruments is pleased to release its new tube-style fuel sending unit, which upends traditional swing arm senders with tight fitment ability and consistently accurate fuel readings. Available in one-inch increments for tank depths of up to 36 inches, these senders are the answer you’ve been looking for to use in your application.

Official Release:

Classic Instruments is pleased to announce the release of a tube style fuel sending unit. The tube style fuel sending unit is the latest innovative product to give your hot rod or classic car “The Finishing Touch”! Tube style fuel sending units are ideal for applications where conventional swing arm senders will not fit due to clearance issues. Tube style sending units are also less susceptible to cause erratic readings due to fuel slosh in a tank where baffles are not present. Units are available for tank depths from 6 inches to 36 inches in one inch increments and ohm ranges of 240-33, 0-30, 0-90, 75-10, and 10-180 to cover a variety of applications. The length of the sender tube is specific to tank depth and requires at least a ¼″ clearance between the bottom of the tube and the bottom of the tank. As an example a tank that measures 8 ¾″ deep would require an 8″ tube style sender.

Each unit uses a standard SAE five hole mounting flange and comes with the necessary gasket and installation hardware. Standard tube style sending units are compatible with gasoline and diesel fuel that contain up to 10% ethanol (E10). Senders compatible with higher blend ethanol based fuels such as E85 are available through custom order.

Features:

  • Ideal for when conventional swing arm senders will not fit
  • Available for tank depths 6-36 inches
  • Compatible with gasoline or diesel, up to 10% ethanol (E10)
