We know winter can be kind of a drag without very many car events going on, but one classic 1950s California staple is keeping things lively this year with weekly car nights. If you’re from the LA area, you know we’re talking about Bob’s Big Boy, of course, and all the great events they have going on year round.
Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank, California is the oldest Big Boy in the country and to celebrate their roots, they’ve gone back to the 1950s. This means carhops, rockabilly tunes, and tones of awesome vintage cars.
Every Friday night throughout the year, the Burbank Big Boy hosts classic car shows from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. If you’re looking for a trip down memory lane this coming weekend, be sure to swing by Bob’s Big Boy on Riverside Dr. and check out all the fantastic cars and trucks from yesteryear!
In addition to their classic car nights, Bob’s also hosts a 50s Costume Contest and Classic Car Trophy Night the first Saturday of every month (except December) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. On these nights, participants are encouraged to dress up in their 50s gear for a chance to win prizes ranging from a $10 gift card to a $100 gift card for the restaurant. Kids can also participate with prizes like a Bob’s Big Boy comic, bobble head, and bank up for grabs.
For participants wanting to enter a car in the trophy contest, “extra large trophies” are given out for Best Cruiser, Best Hot Rod, Best Classic, Best Truck, Best Muscle Car, Best Costume, Best Bicycle and Manager’s Choice.
With no entrance fees for either event and the opportunity to make your Friday or Saturday night a nostalgic one, Bob’s Big Boy on Riverside Dr. in Burbank, California is the place to be!
