Personalization Is Endless On Currie Enterprises’ Rearends

Here is a little teaser of what’s going on in the shop right now – Project Sucker Punch is having it’s factory rearend dropped out in exchange for a beautiful candy-red and polished Currie Enterprises 9-inch rearend.

One thing to keep in mind about Currie’s rearends is that they can build them to any specification needed – ratios, width, pinion offsets disc, or drum brakes, etc. As you can see, for Project Sucker Punch we went with the drum brake option. Of course Currie doesn’t just build rearends for street rods and hot rods, they also produce rearends and front ends for off road vehicles, circle track cars, and drag cars as well as many more applications.

Project Sucker Punch’s rearend housing is 206T6 cast-aluminum and features the Currie Enterprises cast in. The aluminum used to make the housing is really dense aluminum and polishes up really nicely, which is why we opted for it. There are different rearend housings that Currie builds that are made from steel, if that’s the way you choose to go, but we wanted a light, strong rearend that pops.

We can’t wait to see how the car will perform with the new rearend. For more info on Currie’s line of products, as well as more applications, check out Currie’s website. And be sure to check back and witness the progress on Project Sucker Punch – we’re positive that you’ll love it. In the meantime, check out the progress we’ve already made on the car here, if you haven’t already.
