LS’ are hands down the most popular engine to swap in to builds these days. Obviously, this is because they’re the cheapest – and one of the simplest. But, anyone that has tackled a motor swap knows that it’s not an easy feat, and always ends up costing much more than anticipated in the end.
Edelbrock, which has been one of the largest names in the industry for decades now, is now offering a product to help out those brave enough to take on the challenge. Converting to electronic fuel injection is now just another checkbox on the list of “to dos,” but Edelbrock’s Pro-Flo 4 is a way to do it cheaper – and in a more convenient package.
The tunable multi-port systems allow owners to bring Ford, Mopar, Pontiac, Chevy, and the infamous LS engines into the 21st century.
When used with LS’, customers can opt to retain the OE intake manifold and EFI hardware, yet still get all of the advantages of the Pro-Flo 4 system, thanks to Edelbrock’s Engine Management Systems. The “e-tuner” is extremely easy to set up, arriving on your doorstep with dyno-tested baselines and a DIY setup wizard. The system features a self-learning ECU, which can be linked to the free E-Tuner App – allowing for adjustability of air to fuel ratios, ignition curve, idle speed, acceleration fuel, coolant fans, rev limiter, and a variety of other parameters. A wiring harness is included.
It’s available with or without a tablet with the app already installed. But, note, if you are purchasing for personal use; the app is completely free, available on Android-based smartphones or tablets.
