Pueblo, Colorado was the city holding the 2015 Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals Plus car show. With over 2,000 customs in attendance, Denny and Cheryl Jorgensen’s 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster.

Residing in Fort Collins, Colorado, the Jorgensen’s are mere locals, just over three hours away from where the event took place. Underneath this beautiful Chevy is a Jim Meyer Racing frame and a stock Corvette rear end.

The engine is a 327 cubic-inch V8 with Rochesters and fuel injection, which is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Choosing to keep most of the vehicle original, this Corvette definitely retains its vintage look along with its share modern touches.

With no body modifications, we feel the value of this particular Corvette can only rise in value since these are becoming harder and harder to find unscathed as the years press on. A set of American Racing Thrust wheels sit pretty on this Corvette, which are wrapped with meaty BF Goodrich radial tires.

The deep black paint really helps bring out the jet-fighter design these second-generation Corvettes are known for. Although this may not be the hard top that had a production year with the split rear window, the roadster is still nothing to shy away from.

The stock red interior in this Corvette is absolutely immaculate, looking as if no one has ever touched it or set foot in it. Surprisingly, Jorgensen said he bought the Corvette 46 years ago, in which he traded his wife’s Volkswagen and some cash.
