With C10 Squarebody trucks being all the rage lately, it was only a matter of time before we started seeing more product development for them. I mean, seriously, you can’t scroll through Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, or any show or racing forum without seeing a dozen or so of these trucks for sale. I’ve even fallen victim to the trend with currently owning one prized ’67 C1o and previously owning a ’68 as well.
The days of garage chop jobs and outdated technology are finally over. Detroit Speed has released a QUADRALink Rear Suspension Kit for two-wheel-drive 1973 through 1987 Chevy C10s. By completely replacing the factory leaf springs with a four-link system complete with coilovers, you can give your beloved C10 the best stance, handling, and ride possible.
These kits feature a swivel link that allows for smooth and solid movement without any binding. Rather than remaining in the past and using outdated technology — like Heim joints — these kits use rubber bushings for a quieter ride and longer life. The upper links help with pinion and U-joint control, while the rear crossmember helps to strengthen the rear of the frame. These kits also have an adjustable Panhard bar to help the truck stabilize during hard cornering.
Offering both weld-in, and bolt-on kits, Detroit Speed has kits suitable for experienced fabricators and your everyday do-it-yourself guys. With the right tools and this video, installation is a breeze.
These kits are available for purchase at Summit by clicking this link. You can also get more information or tech help by contacting the good people at Detroit Speed at (704) 662-3272.
