Since our current muscle car craze began a few years back, many of our oldest nameplates that remained extinct, for at least some time, have now returned with a newer and better (in some ways) lease on life.
That’s partly because Dodge’s president and CEO, Tim Kuniskis, announced just last Wednesday that the automaker will be simplifying Dart customers’ buying choices by combining some of the enthusiasts’ favorite features into one, convenient package, “Since we launched the all new Dart last June, we’ve been able to see how Dart customers are ordering their cars, and as a result, we have simplified our offerings to meet their requests,” says Kuniskis of the Dart’s new available cosmetic and aerodynamic upgrades.
As Carscoops reports, the all-new “Special Edition” and “Rallye Appearance” packages enhance the new Dart SXT’s and Limited’s looks, while adding some nice features inside. The Special Edition package has some of the more popular electronic features, like Uconnect Voice Command with Bluetooth, steering wheel-mounted audio controls on a leather-wrapped wheel, cruise control, remote start for cars with the automatic transmission, a USB port, automatic-dimming rear view mirror with microphone, a trip computer, and a vehicle information center with tire pressure monitoring. Other convenience features include a front passenger in-seat storage, an overhead console with sunglass holder, and a 12-volt auxiliary power outlet.
Dodge’s all-new Dart SXT and Limited bring a unique, high-tech dimension to the Dart lineup, but aside from being a sporty whip that’s web-connected, the Special Edition and Rallye models also pack plenty of cosmetic goods that are sure to excite nearly every late-model, Mopar enthusiast. Among these are a black crosshair grille, tinted projector headlights and racetrack-style, LED tail lights.
The new cosmetic upgrades for this year’s Dart SXT and Limited are sure to add a certain pizzazz to Chrysler’s short but sporty econo car.
