If you’ve been following the excitement that came on the cusp of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat’s debut, you know that it is the most potent American muscle car built to date. But before the production beasts roll out to their new owners, The Chrysler Group is planning to auction off a special one-of-one Hellcat for a good cause at the September Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas.

The Hellcat being offered at the late September auction is the very first production Hellcat model built, featuring vehicle identification number 0001. But instead of just being the first production model, this particular charity car is unique in more ways, being the only Hellcat to ever be finished in Viper-exclusive Stryker Red. For this aesthetic upgrade, Dodge actually sent the first production Hellcat to the Viper painting facility where it was hand-painted the exclusive Viper color.
In addition to its unique VIN and paint scheme, the Hellcat will come with special Hellcat badging, VIN documentation and an exclusive HEMI presentation box with an electronic vehicle build book, video documentary, photographs, a signed SRT Hellcat lithograph, special Hellcat embossed iPad sleeve and a “birth certificate”, all exclusive to the vehicle.
Just like the rest of the first-year Hellcat lineup, the first production Hellcat will come with the 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8 under the hood, capable of producing 707hp and 650lb-ft of torque. Backing this potent powerplant will be a TorqueFlite 8-speed paddle-shift automatic transmission, while breaking power will come from 15.4-inch Brembo front discs and 6-piston calipers. Other features of the VIN 0001 car include 20 x 9.5-inch wheels, a Black Laguna leather-trimmed interior and a forged-aluminum supercharger plenum cover atop the HEMI engine.
The one-of-one Hellcat will be auctioned off on September 27th at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino during the Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction.
All proceeds from the auction will go to Opportunity Village, a not-for-profit organization that helps individuals with intellectual disabilities in the Las Vegas area live more independent lives. Barrett-Jackson will be waiving all of the consignment and bidding fees to guarantee that all proceeds go to helping the organization.
