Feast your retinas on this slick, 1970 resto-mod Charger 500 SE with late model HEMI power that’s up for grabs on Ebay. Combining a killer “Creamsicle” color combo of Mopar K-2 “Vitamin C” Orange and rare parchment interior with all the current speed and cosmetic upgrades du jour, this is one dandy Dodge. The black Bumblebee stripe is like a bit of licorice on top of this sweet Mopar confection. There’s much to cover here, so let’s get to it.
The Charger was treated to a “nut and bolt”restoration and sports the best of old and new. Motivation is provided by a late model 6.1 liter HEMI, 727 Torqueflite transmission and a Mopar 8 3/4 rear end with 3:55 gears. The running gear is brought up to date with power steering, CCP 4-wheel disc brakes, rebuilt suspension, and monster rims rolling on fat Nexen rubber.
The body is laser straight with original body panels, show paint, new chrome and stainless, and seems carefully screwed back together. Inside is all new with tinted glass, buckets seats, wood grain dash, steering wheel and console, custom gauges and factory air.
Located in Bee Spring, KY, the “Buy it Now Price,” is $67K or you can make an offer. This looks to be a nice turn-key Mopar classic and the only thing we’d do is maybe swap out the blingy rims for a nice set of Magnum 500’s and redlines or white letter tires. Either way, this “Creamsicle” Charger is tasty indeed.
