Look what Joseph Carroll from RK Motors and Dave Salvaggio from Salvaggio Design have cooked up with their latest build. An incredible 1970 Dodge Charger R/T Pro-Touring barnstormer and it could be yours today on eBay for a mere $279,000.00. For that kind of dough, here’s what you get.
A brand new, thunderous Indy Cylinder Head 500 V8 Wedge motor with 575 dyno’d horsepower and 575 pound feet of torque, chock full of all the latest high performance parts. Billet Specialties front runner serpentine system, Eagle H-Beam rods, Speed Pro hyper pistons, Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, Comp Hydraulic cam, MP black wrinkle valve covers, M-1 single plane intake, 750 Mighty Demon carburetor Milodon oil pan and tray MP electronic distributor Custom plug wires. All that grunt is channeled through a Tremec TKO-500 five-speed manual spinning a Moser Dana 60 rear axle with 3.54 gears.
The running gear is fantastic combination of modern hardware. Say goodbye to creaky old torsion bars and hello to a RMS front sub-frame with rack and pinion steering, RMS 1.25-inch tubular control arms with heavy duty rod ends and Afco double adjustable coil-over racing shocks, for a fully adjustable front end. The rear suspension is a Detroit Speed altered four link setup. Wilwood 12-inch rotors and six-piston front/ four-piston rear provide mega stopping power All this rolls on a set of 18 and 19-inch Fiske three piece wheels and big Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
The body is laser straight from all angles as well. Starting with a well loved, rust free Arizona car, the sheet metal was treated to all the latest metal prep tricks and then dipped in PPG Grigio Pearl Metallic with flat black hood and bumble bee strip adding a nice, old school Mopar contrast. Inside, all the production line plastic panels and seats have been swathed in gray leather.
Its been said money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy a nice car and let you cruise right up close to it. If you have almost $300K, this Charger could take you there.
