There is a lot of pride and joy that comes with owning a rare automobile. In an eBay lot that expired on May 4th, muscle car enthusiasts had the chance to buy one of the rarest pieces of automotive history- a 1969 Triple Black Judge GTO convertible.
This particular car is one of only 108 Triple Black Judge convertibles ever made and one of only three made in 1969. Each of the three convertibles built in 1969 had a number of different options, making each car unique. That’s right guys and gals, this car is a truly one-of-a-kind factory automobile. This Judge has 16 of the original factory options.
The GTO was purchased from the original owner before it underwent total restoration. Everything on the car is either original, rebuilt or restored. Since the completion of the restoration, only three miles have been put on the car. There are 69, 003 miles on the original body of the GTO.
The seller was asking a whopping quarter of a million dollars for the car. Such is the price of owning a fully restored, one-of-three made, automobiles. He also offered to consider a partial trade for a 1969 Trans Am, 2009 or 2010 Corvette ZR1, or a Ram Air IV Firebird.
Because the car did not sell, it is scheduled to be auctioned off on May 20th at the Mecum Spring Auction in Indianapolis, Indiana. If you’re interested in the car, attending this event may get you a lower price but be prepared to fight for it. We’re sure there will be a lot of serious interest in the car.
