Earlier in the year Erica Enders earned her name into drag racing history as the first woman to win in NHRA pro stock. After Brainerd this past weekend, she’s won three Wallys with the last two consecutively. The next race is Indy, the big one, in two weeks.

Erica Enders scored her third win of 2012 at Brainerd, Minnesota.

At Brainerd, Enders put her GK Motorsports Chevy Cobalt on top of the ladder, a feat she claimed in 2006 as well. She also ran the quickest ET of the event at 6.542 and even pulled a near perfect reaction time of 0.001-second in the first round against Johnny Gray. (Allen Johnson scored top speed by 0.04-mph over Enders.) In eliminations she had to run down Jason Line and Larry Morgan to face Johnson in the finals. After the Dodge went into tire shake, is was all Enders.

With these mid season wins, Enders is now fifth in NHRA points and 25 behind fourth place Mike Edwards. The US Nationals at Indy is the final race to set the ladder for the Countdown to the Championship so it is going to get interesting. In the other pro classes, Ron Capps scored a victory at Brained which also put him atop in points over Robert Hight by only 53 points and Antron Brown moved into the top spot even though Morgan Lucas edged him out of a victory in Minnesota.
