Advertised on eBay as a “Pro-street drag cruiser,” we find it to be anything but a cruiser. Just knowing that the 572 cubic inch big-block was equipped with nitrous made the hairs on the back of our neck stand up. You’re doing more than cruising with this beast.
The mill features a dual quad tunnel ram intake to help feed the beast. The nitrous oxide system set-up and in-car controller add to the induction system. Pushing the go-juice to the carbs is a Mallory dual fuel pump system, so starving the engine is not a concern. A Milodon large capacity oil sump adds a little extra edge in lubrication.
A big block with a big appetite.
A legendary Chrysler Torqueflite 727 automatic transmission with reverse manual valve body hang behind the big-block. This combination is proven and wildly popular in drag racing because of the power and reliability – as well as the brute strength of the piece – and it’s equipped with a 4,000 rpm stall converter. A factory 8-3/4-inch rearend supported by a ladder bar and leaf spring suspension complete the drivetrain.
A Mallory dual fuel pump system supplies the go-juice.
The chassis has a 6-point cage for the Pro-Street class with swing out bars for easier exit and entry. The back is mini-tubbed and has street tires mounted and tucked inside the body nicely. The battery has been relocated to the trunk for better weight distribution.
Caged and ready to roll in the Pro Street class.
According to the seller, the car is fully street legal and all the factory lighting works. We are curious what street manners this beast brings to the party. Interested parties need to act soon because the car is for sale locally and the auction can end at any time.
Pure beastly beauty, inside and out.
