Event Alert: Goodguys 13th Great Northwest Nationals In Spokane, WA

August is here, which means that summer is coming to a close. The kids will be moaning and groaning about homework on the weekends, but you’ll be doing anything but; that’s because the Goodguys show is in town.

Going on from the 15th to the 17th, the event will take place in Spokane, Washington, at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center. As with any Goodguys event, the cars are bright, the people are chill, and the atmosphere is spirited and lively.

Thousands of cars are to be expected, but it isn’t just the cars that make events like this a good time. A staple that never fails to please the crowd is the autocross portion of the show, which has some of the fastest and most agile classics rip their way through the cones in the hopes of getting the fastest time and a sweet trophy to add to the collection.

For the lucky ones among us whose children get homework done well ahead of the due date, Goodguys has something for them too. First, they’ll be admitted freely to the event (ages 6 and under) or at the low charge of just six dollars (ages 7-12).

Second, they’ll be able to look forward to the Revell Model Car Make ‘n Take, where they will get the chance to create a model car all their own. Teach the little ones about how to trim off leftover pieces of plastic, use cement, and apply decals–just the way your dad taught you.
