The modern iterations of the Dodge Challenger and Charger have been wildly popular since they were first introduced to the modern muscle car market. Each car mixes the perfect amount of new-age horsepower and nostalgia together to create an exciting vehicle. Companies like ExoMod Concepts have taken things a step further and combined a new Hellcat chassis with a 1968 Dodge Charger.
You can now order through ExoMod Concepts its “Black Velvet”, a limited-edition ride that combines a Hellcat Challenger with the body of a 1968 Dodge Charger. Black Velvet is based on one of the new Dodge Challenger Hellcat platform vehicles before it goes through an extensive modification process. ExoMod Concepts completely strips the Challenger down so it can be fitted with a custom carbon fiber body that looks like a widebody 1968 Dodge Charger.
What makes the Black Velvet Charger awesome is that you get all of the modern technology the Challenger Hellcat offers, plus a nice 400-pound weight reduction. These cars will be built around the 717 horsepower Hellcat platform, or you can upgrade to the 807 horsepower Jailbreak option. Over 1,500 hours of work are poured into each Black Velvet build to ensure it’s perfect.
The Black Velvet Charger is painted a special Black Pearl hue with custom stripes, graphite trim, and Black Laguna leather interior. For extra style, the Black Velvet Charger rolls on a set of Forgeline custom brushed translucent Smoke wheels wrapped in Nitto rubber.
