The XIM™ Standalone Coil-On Plug Ignition Kit for the 2011 Ford 5.0L Modular V8 Engines offers simple operational ignition system control and optional programmable ignition system control, independent of the fuel delivery method or any factory computer.
This straightforward solution to coil-on plug ignition control is a complete kit that does not require an OE computer or XFI™. Simply install and a few flips of a switch will set the engine type, timing settings and the Standalone mode, and then you’re ready to run. However, custom tuning beyond this initial set-up is optional. Easy-to-use adjustment dial ports allow full control of custom tuning ignition options, and the ignition control system works with both carbureted and FAST™ EZ-EFI® systems. It can be used with the EZ-EFI® to effortlessly run 2011 Ford 5.0L engines transplants with no tuning or expertise needed.
Adjustable features include: programmable timing curve, vacuum advance (MAP sensor is required for this feature and is included in the kit) and rev limiter. The XIM™ also features a tach output and an output to control a fuel pump relay. Finally, it is plug and play with the factory crank and cam sensors and with the factory coils.
