Rod Authority is on the ground at the 2018 Grand National Roadster Show! We got in at 10:00am Friday morning and wasted no time getting into the spirit of arguably the coolest car show on earth.
Running through the weekend at the Pomona Fairplex, in So Cal, it’ll have a swarm of cars from the best builders, fans and garage Da Vinci’s from around the country. There are 15 AMBR contenders this year and we’ll give you a taste of some of them here, as well as some other crazy beautiful sleds that caught our eye.
Be sure and check out Rod Authority Facebook as well for updates throughout the weekend Enjoy!
Daniel Hostetter’s ’27 Ford “Concept”

GNRS AMBR Contender: Daniel Hostetter brought this Copper ’27 Ford Roadster in from San Diego. It was built off an old school hot rod “concept.”
HotRodsAndCustomStuff’s Chopped ’66 Riviera Fastback

Car builder HotRodsAndCustom Stuff, brought this chopped ’66 Rivi that killed ’em all. Crazy tone-on-tone paneled paint job, laser straight bodywork and lemony delicious, custom interior. A built 425 Nailhead supplies the motivation. Really cool.
John and Pat Miller’s “Duece One” by Adams Hot Rod Shop

GNRS AMBR Contender: John and Pat Miller brought in this devastating roadster, christened “Duece One,” built by Adams Hot Rod Shop. Brookville body, small block Chevy power and swathed in acres of ebony black paint, just like Henry Ford insisted. A dazzler.
Restomod Chrysler Airflow

Airflow alert! If you wondered what influenced VW and the “People’s Car,” look no further. This old Chrysler sports pewter paint, modern khaki leather cockpit, and modern V8 power. Oh, and the Halibrand-esque wheels were the cherry on top of the sundae.
Stay with Rod Authority through the weekend as we will be bringing all the latest news from GNRS 2018! Also, keep your eye on Rod Authority Facebook for live feeds of the show as well.
