Riding on 60-year-old automobile technology is a real bummer. We love old cars, but apple cart ride and handling — not to mention braking— are daunting and dangerous on today’s modern roads.
Fix that problem with a new chassis and running gear from Heidts. Its new PRO-G frame for Tri-Five Chevy’s comes standard with the proven Heidts PRO-G independent front suspension and four-link rear suspension, built on 10 gauge TIG-welded frame rails.
Included in the base IFS kit is power steering, adjustable coilovers, 2-inch drop spindles and a 1.25-inch sway bar with 11-inch Wilwood rotors and 4-piston calipers. The triangulated four-link rear comes standard with adjustable coilovers, rear stabilizer bar and a 9-inch housing.
Heidts was started in 1985 in the 700-square-foot garage of company founder Gary Heidt. The company has grown over the last 30 years, and now occupies a modern 50,000-square-foot facility in Lake Zurich, Illinois.
Heidts has built its business on engineering excellence, quality products and fast, friendly service. It also has one of the most experienced sales and engineering staffs in the industry, always ready to serve you. Heidts tests its products on its own fleet of hot rods and muscle cars, often competing in autocross and road course competitions.
