Here’s Your Chance to Acquire a “Nashty-Habit” on eBay

If you’ve got a “jones” for a completed hot rod and you want something that is at the center of attention wherever it appears, this may be the “cure” for you! “Nashty-Habit,” a 1931 steel-bodied Nash is a spectacular hot rod that we have had the pleasure of enjoying up close at multiple events. It is always a crowd favorite wherever it appears and is now for sale up on eBay Motors.

It’s hard to pinpoint just one particular attribute on this awesome hot rod that makes the biggest impression. Is it the slammed vintage hot rod stance? The trick paint scheme that harkens back to your father’s (grandpa’s) era? How about the menacing looking supercharged mouse motor that towers over the car? No matter where your eyes fall on this exceptional example of a wild hot rod you are enticed to linger and take it in.

Horsepower for this beauty is produced by a Chevy 350 motor topped with a 6-71 blower and dual carbs. A turbo 350 trans passes all that to a reliable Ford 9-inch rear. Suspension is a combination of the past and present with an old-school, drilled I-beam straight axle and single leaf spring in the front and a four-link suspension adjusted by air bags in the rear. Retro looking cheater slicks mounted on Rocket mags put the power on the ground and spoked racing style wheels wrapped with Coker tires dictate the direction this hot rod travels.

“Nashty-Habit’s” exterior appearance has elements of multiple techniques popular from earlier hot rod eras. Lace, fish scales, metal-flake paint, gold leaf, scallops and other classic and difficult to accomplish designs and features combine into an absolutely stunning presentation. The interior is finished and functional yet it’s exposed mechanicals in some areas harken back to the early days of hot rodding and racing when safety was an afterthought and being finished was in the eye of the beholder.

This “Nashty-Habit” can be yours today for the asking price of $35,850.00 if you are so inclined. There are more photos at the listing and also at the Facebook page of Todds Odd Rodds & Home Built Hot Rods. There is also a YouTube video that shows the car being painted and the craftsmanship involved. We hope that whoever becomes the next owner keeps bringing it out for all of us to appreciate. Rehab is useless for a habit like this. You just have to feed it!
