Check out the video of this wild Mopar smoking up the street that the guys over at Autoholics turned us onto. This isn’t just a video of someone power braking their ride until the tires get moving fast enough to create smoke and a few feet of rubber. This is a true power-play of iconic muscle, with enough horsepower and torque to annihilate the tires at any speed. In fact, this ’73 ‘Cuda shows us how easy it is to do John Force style burnouts, by just tapping the loud pedal and clicking through the gears.
Watch the video closely, and you can see that the driver is just playing with the gas pedal and shifting through the gears effortlessly. We really like to see burnouts where the cars actually have enough power to overcome the rear tires with just sheer horsepower. We are not talking about the burnout contests that you normally go to with all the junk station wagons, and redneck Chevy pickups with old tires on the back, that show up just to do those low-powered water burnouts until the tires pop. Although those displays of endless smoke might be fun to watch, they don’t deserve the respect that comes from a high-powered street warrior that literally has enough power to blow the tires off at any speed.
As crazy as it sounds, we’re car crazy, and we would even stop to watch a moped burning it’s rear tire off, it’s in our blood. Burnouts are fun, whether you’re the driver or just a spectator, we can’t live without them!
