Cuda

If you have been waiting for the chance to own a completely restored, well optioned HEMI Cuda, then you might want to consider taking a trip out to Monterey, California this summer. On August 16th-19th Mecum’s Monterey auction is bringing to auction a rare, 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda that features a date correct 426 Hemi engine with factory original shaker hood!

One of just 652 built, this 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda was produced on March 19, 1970, in the first week of Hemi double fender-tag production and delivered new to Ralph’s Chrysler-Plymouth, Inc., in Downey, California.

The classic muscle car was restored approximately nine years ago by Julius Steuer of Restorations by Julius in Chatsworth, California.

The 1970 Hemi Cuda is also No. 7 of nine Jamaica Blue Hemi Cuda hardtops listed in the Chrysler Registry.

The date-code correct 426/425 HP Hemi V-8 is backed by a heavy-duty TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic transmission with factory cooler and a 3.23:1 Sure Grip differential.

Additionally equipped with power steering and power front disc brakes, it also features the highly desirable Shaker hood scoop with hood pins and color-matching elastomeric front and rear bumpers.

A black vinyl top, factory rear spoiler, color-keyed sport mirrors, correct Goodyear F60-15 Polyglas GT tires and Hemi “hockey stick” body-side stripes complete the exterior appointments.

Rallye instruments, a Rim Blow steering wheel, Slap Stik shifter and AM/FM radio highlight the black leather interior of this Hemi-powered muscle car.

The 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda is Lot R203 and will be going to auction on Friday, August 18th, 2017. For more information on the entire Mecum Auctions lineup, you can click on the official website here.
