mp1Back in 1983, Master Power Brakes was founded with one goal in mind – to create brake kits focusing on specific vehicle models, rather than one-size-fits-all fitments. Each particular brake kit is engineered and designed to be as “bolt-on” as possible, simplifying the process for the end-user in selecting a braking system for their Ford, GM, or Mopar race car, street rod, antique, classic, or muscle car.

They just built a brand-new website, and once we got the news, we headed over to check it out and see what all of the fuss was about. Put simply, it’s easy to navigate, chock-full of useful information and starts off with a simple vehicle make/model/year selector. There are many differing levels of brake kits dependent upon your requirements, and the company even offers parts to convert drum braking systems to disc braking systems. All of the potential accessories are also clearly listed under each vehicle, from power boosters to master cylinders to proportioning valves and every other hard part you could possibly need to make the job a snap.

mp2For example, we checked out the listing for a 1971 Mustang, and not only does Master Power offer four different front kits to go with three separate options for the rear, they also offer braided stainless-steel hoses and cross-drilled/slotted rotor options for both ends to give you that extra little bit of performance and good looks that so many customers look to the aftermarket to provide. Each vehicle selection has a full list of components that are provided in the kits. Our test selection even included the nifty video below – so go check out Master Power Brakes if you’re looking for a nice upgrade to your ride.
