Dual-engine hot rods never fail to impress, like the 1927 Ford roadster featured last season on DRIVE Network’s Big Muscle YouTube show. Chances are you won’t run across many in your lifetime, let alone one for sale. Low and behold, that’s exactly what we found featured on Top Gear’s website recently–meet Twice Blown!

While its more obvious features make Twice Blown what it is, the hot rod does feature a bit of classic styling!
This dual-engine configuration is a 1932 Ford Sedan Deluxe equipped with two all-aluminum Keith Black 9.4L HEMI engines, each boasting over 1,000hp.
Running in tandem, just like you’d expect with any good vehicle named Twice Blown, the two HEMIs run on separate fuel systems, alternators, computers and their own starters. But although they’re two separate amenities, the engines work effortlessly together to give the custom hot rod an amazing 2,500bhp–a feat made fully possible thanks to the custom chassis supporting it all.
On top of that, there’s an even bigger perk–it’s completely street legal!
While set up for the road and seemingly the track, denoted by the inclusion of twin parachutes on the back (does anyone else see a theme here), the hot rod has never seen a performance competition. Rather, it’s been trailered to shows across the country. In its show exhibition, the car did win first place at the Detroit Autorama, as well as secure the Car of the Year title at the South Bend, Indianapolis Cavalcade Wheels show.
Not a bad track record, but we’d love to see what the car could really do with the right driver behind the wheel.
Currently, the hot rod is up for sale in Kentwood, Michigan with an asking price of $209,000. If that’s not in your budget, Classic Cars, the company it’s being sold through, is also offering to sell the car with “easy” monthly payments of just $2,047. At that price, they might even throw in the bow on top!
