The Mopar brand is celebrating its 80th anniversary with a limited-edition Mopar 2017 Dodge Challenger. Only 160 of these special edition vehicles will be available, and they will have custom show-car trim options. 80 of these cars will be finished in Pitch Black/Contusion Blue, and the other 80 in Pitch Black/Billet Silver.
This special model will also include Mopar performance parts, accessories, exclusive owner’s kit, and serialized badge. The 2017 Mopar Challenger is in good company as it is the 8th one offered with the straight-from-the-factory upgrades. The others include the Mopar 2010 Challenger, 2011 Charger, 2012 300, 2013 Dart, 2014 Challenger, 2015 Dodge Charger R/T, and 2016 RAM Rebel.
The exterior of the Mopar 2017 Challenger will come in a custom two-tone paint option with pitch black accents. The shaker hood package and scoop will trade in their satin black for pitch black, and the rear deck lid will also receive the black-on-black treatment.
Its six-speed transmission enhances the base Challenger R/T’s 392 — the 6.4L 392 HEMI engine makes 485 horsepower and 475 lbs.-ft. of torque. The cold-air intake offers a performance boost, and gets extra air from an air-catcher duct system from the highlight. It also has a strut tower brace and caps, which are silver powder coated and improved rigidity.
