Our friends at Mopar have entered 3 SRT-backed vehicle entries into this years Targa Newfoundland event on the Atlantic coast of Canada, which is a week long event that challenges drivers mental toughness as well as vehicle performance. Ralph Gilles himself, the CEO of SRT Brand & Motorsports, will pilot a car. This is his fourth appearance in the Targa Newfoundland rally, leading the SRT team at the helm of a Dodge Viper SRT10.
An intensely passionate racing enthusiast, Gilles is also Senior Vice President – Product Design for Chrysler Group LLC. HIs co-driver is motorsports journalist Jen Horsey. The other SRT vehicles, both of which are Challenger SRT8’s, will be piloted by comedian “MotoMan,” and experienced rally drivers Rob Pacione and Brian Maxwell.
The Targa Newfoundland event is in it’s 10th year as an event and it not only a dream for motorsports lovers, but also a huge opportunity to benefit others. The event raises funds for the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, an organization that supports individuals and families affected by autism. You can follow the progress of the SRT group on their website as well as donate funds to the cause.
