New Dodge Brothers Ad Features Competition Across The Generations

db03aEver since the early 1900s, Dodge brothers Horace and John Dodge have been very competitive. Originally a company that supplied automotive parts, the Dodge brothers turned it into a domestic car empire when they started building cars, launching their very first car in 1914.

According to this Dodge commercial, not only were John and Horace business partners, but they were brothers who were competitive, stubborn, and always pushing each other in a way only brothers can. And that, it turns out, was a very, very good thing that seems to be renewed with the latest products to come from the Dodge camp.

db01aThe Dodge video above is based on the two brothers, who both supposedly passed away suddenly in 1920. It shows them duel it out on the road with some of the company’s most awesome vehicles throughout history. While charging down the road in old-school muscle cars, they soon transform into the latest of Dodges lineup, the ’15 Challenger and ’15 Charger Hellcats. The Dodge brothers both push each modern muscle car to the limit while battling on the open road, and having a blast doing so.

Soon enters a bright red Viper going in the opposite direction, catching them both off guard. The Dodge brothers throw each other that mischievous glance, and spin around in a cloud of dust and give chase to this third party laying down the challenging gesture.

Who wouldn’t want to chase down a Viper in one of Dodge’s modern high-performance muscle cars? Whether it is the four-door Charger, or the two-door Challenger, both Hellcats are fun to drive with impressive performance figures. We can only hope that this competitive tradition continues, within Dodge as well as all American auto makers. What two classic and modern musclecars would you like to see battling it out from different generations along the highway?
