This photo went viral on Facebook and that got us thinking about other hot rod inspired furniture.
Recently we posted a simple photo of a child’s bed on our Facebook fanpage. Not expecting much, it was a simple photo that showed a really neat alternative to the classic race car children’s bed that you can buy at any Ikea pressboard furniture store. Only the photo that we posted had a well thought out and perfectly executed hot rod bed.
It didn’t take long for our fans to fall in love with the unique design and start messaging us for the build plans. Unfortunately, we don’t have plans for the child’s hot rod bed, but that gave us an idea to find other neat furniture featuring old car parts. Here’s what we found on Pinterest.
For The Bathroom:
Every castle needs a throne. What could be better than a Recaro toilet? Seat belts are a plus. All that is missing are a couple of footpads for traction. All photos from www.interest.com
Turbo-paper? Speed might not be the best idea here but we love the boosted idea.
If we had a steering wheel towel rack, we might actually hang up the towels.
Finally! A place to put the toothbrushes, combs, pit juice and other necessities.
A Bel Air faucet! Wash your hands in style. A piece of bathroom chrome we can get behind.
The ultimate in garage decor. This brings a tear to our eyes.
A redneck’s dream bed. Could this be a sleeper truck?
Verrrrrrrooooooooom! Hot rod bunk beds for when one is not enough.
A bed for the Ford fans.
A pull out for entertaining guests that stay over or family that drops in.
Our favorite. This one has some class, and some gas, with compressed gas cylinders on each side of the bed.
How about a rat rod day bed for those rainy days watching sportscenter?
This is the tops in custom truck car beds.
We have a few more items to go in our man cave remodeling. Make sure you stay tuned for more redecorating ideas that you won’t see in Better Homes & Gardens or on those cable TV fix-it-up shows. Keep an eye out for our next installment of “Tuning Up The Man Cave.”
