For decades, muscle car enthusiasts and restomod builders have faced a frustrating dilemma: sacrifice that perfect period-correct look for modern grip, or drive on tires that look the part, but handle like it’s 1970. Coker Tire has finally ended that debate with the release of the all-new Pro-Trac Street Pro III, a groundbreaking low-profile tire that combines vintage aesthetics with genuine ultra-high performance.

Debuted at the 2025 SEMA Show, the Pro-Trac Street Pro III is a game-changer because it does what major manufacturers said was impossible. It combines a legitimate W-rated radial, capable of 168 mph, with authentic, built-in raised white letters or classic redline sidewalls. This isn’t a sticker or a glue-on afterthought. Coker developed a new manufacturing process to integrate these sidewall styles directly into the tire’s construction, eliminating the risk of delamination that has plagued previous attempts to mix modern performance with retro style.

Underneath the classic branding lies a serious performance tire. The Street Pro III features a 400 treadwear rating and an AA traction rating, meaning it’s sticky enough for spirited driving but durable enough for long road trips. The tread pattern is designed with massive outer shoulder blocks for cornering stability and deep channels to resist hydroplaning, a massive leap forward in safety compared to the bias-ply tires of yesteryear. With 31 sizes ranging from 17- to 20-inches, builders can finally stuff their wheelwells with massive rubber — up to 315mm wide in the rear — while keeping that iconic muscle car vibe alive.

Coker Tire has long been the go-to for restoration rubber, but this move signals a major shift toward supporting the modern restomod market. By providing a solution to bridge the gap between the raw power of today’s builds and the soulful style of the past, the Pro-Trac Street Pro III allows car enthusiasts to enjoy their builds. Pre-orders open in early 2026, giving builders just enough time to figure out exactly how much rubber they can fit in their wheelwells.
