If you find yourself at the corner of “Nitrostreet” & “Gearjamb Boulevard” you have stopped at a place where some serious automotive, fabricating and storytelling talent hangs its hat. A great example of what we’re talking about is visible in this video posted by Nitrostreet on YouTube. The project being covered was originally a 1929 Chevrolet 1-1/2 ton truck that is transforming to a new life as a blown and injected One-Ton Dually.
This particular video chronicles the truck’s transition from a pile of sedentary metal to a fully bagged and adjustable roller that seems to move via an unearthly force. While traversing to and fro along the workshop floor without apparent human control, the ride height of the suspension also advances and declines in a ghostly fashion. Sure, producing the video in this way has nothing to do with the project itself. But why not throw in some entertainment value as a kicker?
Despite the fun aspect of this video, you have to admire the workmanship that has been put into the entire undertaking. Meticulous planning, thought, care and expertise are evident in both the work performed on the truck as well as the chronicling of project itself.
Progress on the ‘29 Blown and injected pickup has advanced quite a bit since this video was made. There are many more videos, photos and specs available to see on the project’s page along with lots of other great stuff at the Nitrostreet website. Check it out, and stay tuned for more updates.
