The National Street Rod Association (NSRA) hosts events all over the Country through the year. At each of the events, top awards are given out to the best of the best for different categories. On May 27 through the 29 of 2016, the NSRA hosted the annual Mid-America Street Rod Nationals. Sprawled out at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield, Missouri, the regional event brings in amazing hot rods from all over.
At each of the events the NSRA coordinates, top awards are handed out. Hot rods that exceed certain criteria for the awards stand out for the judges to recognize. Here are this years winners:
For the FAST Revolution Award, the winner was Franchot and Raw Duncan from Derby, Kansas and their 1940 Chevrolet. The custom built car features a chopped top, custom suspension and late-model LS V8 engine. The award was presented by COMP Cams and NSRA.

The Outstanding Use of Color award was given to two vehicles. A 1939 Ford Pick-up featuring a two tone paint scheme shown by Jerry and Rita Coleman of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and a 1972 Chevorelt Blazer, also featuring a two tone paint scheme shown by Danielle Brown from Tulsa, Oklahoma. The award was presented by NSRA.
The Outstanding Use of Color Award went to a 1939 Ford Pick-up and a 1972 Chevy Blazer.
The Pro’s Pick is the most coveted trophy of them all. Five winners were chosen in all. Dan and Susan Tallant of Kansas City, Missouri and their 1951 Chevrolet Pick-up. Otis and Debbie Schmidt or Moore, Oklahoma and their 1940 Ford Convertible. Justin Moriaty of Grain Valley, Missouri and his 1932 Ford Roadster. Terry and Debbie Hutchinson or Prior Lake, Minnesota and their 1964 Buick Riviera. Bob and Pam Ruby of East Alton, Illinois and their 1955 Chevrolet 2 Door Hardtop. Each vehicle features exquisite build construction and quality. The award was presented by Classic Instruments.
