SEMA week is coming up quick! OPTIMA has announced that they are going big this year! This year they will have not one, but two booths. One (booth #22453) will be featuring live racing and a press conference hosted by Mike Rowe that will highlight the public debut of SpeedKore’s “Hellacious” mid-engine Dodge Charger. Other special guest will include James Clay and Chris Polvoorde- both OPTIMA brand ambassadors. They will also both have their vehicles there as well. Clay will have his BimmerWorld Bergsteiger E36 Hill Climb Car that raced in the 2021 Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Polvoorde will have his Ford Ranger Pro Lite race truck.
The second booth will be located in the brand new outdoor space, located in the Bronze Lot outside of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Here OPTIMA will showcase brand ambassador and celebrity vehicles, as well as, host a portion of their OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational (OUSCI) race, the PEAK Performance Challenge. This is open for spectators to enjoy. More than 80 classic and modern sports cars competing in the OUSCI will be on display outside. After the show the OUSCI competitors will head to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the culmination of the series on Saturday, November 6th and Sunday, November 7th. To add to the spectacle, Tanner Foust will be performing exhibition drift laps in his V8-powered Volkswagon Passat drift taxi on Tuesday and Wednesday of the SEMA show.
SpeedKore
The SpeedKore 1968 Dodge Charger “Hellacious” is the road-going version of the vehicle featured in “Fast 9”. It will be making its public debut at a press conference to be hosted by Mike Rowe. This conference will also feature stunt driver Tanner Foust and SpeedKore’s Tom Porter. The press conference is scheduled for Tuesday, November 2nd at 2:30 pm PST at OPTIMA’s outdoor location. The “Hellacious” features a custom carbon fiber widebody and a mid-mounted 6.2L Hellcat Hemi V8 which is mounted to a gated-manual Graziano transaxle from a Lamborghini Gallardo. Spectators will have the opportunity to see and hear the vehicle in action throughout the show.
Another interesting event going on is that they have partnered with EVOLVE Motion Simulators. This means that showgoers will have the chance to virtually race on iconic tracks such as Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in an immersive, full-motion driving simulator while attempting to beat the times set by professional drivers like Tanner Foust and James Clay.
