Being an original owner of a classic muscle car is definitely something to be proud of. It’s even more to brag about if your classic muscle car has been restored to an immaculate condition, so much so that it has appeared in magazines and the SEMA show. This is the case for an owner of a ‘72 Charger on Pro-Touring.com. The Charger has two magazine and several event appearances under its belt and is still going strong with ooh’s and aah’s from fans across the country.
Restore a Muscle Car revived the ‘72 Charger for the original owner from Nebraska, known to us only as Wayne H. a couple of years ago. Many upgrades were done to the car during the restoration process, giving the Charger a whole new composition. Instead of the stock engine and drivetrain, the Charger was upgraded to have a 6.1-liter HEMI engine and Viper six-speed transmission. A RMS four-link and rear K member were used to upgrade the suspension for this pro-touring beast. Four-wheel disc brakes and rack and pinion steering also come equipped on the Charger.
To upgrade the interior, an ‘09 Challenger console, ‘07 Charger gauge cluster and steering column, and a Vintage Air conditioner/heater were used. New-age creature comforts were also added to the ‘72 Charger, including a leather interior, electric seats and a DVD/navigation, touch-screen audio system.
The Charger is definitely a fine automotive. We’re sure Wayne H. is proud to be the owner of such a magnificent car, and rightfully so. We’re glad this car continues to get the love and attention it deserves and look forward to seeing it at many more events to come.
