According to a report in The Modesto Bee the accident occurred around 10:00 A.M., on Saturday, March 30th. Fabian Moralez, age 21, was driving his 1999 Acura Integra south on Highway 33, and lost control of the vehicle near Pomelo Avenue.
The Acura swerved off onto the shoulder, and then veered back on to the road, crossing the northbound lanes before striking a telephone pole head-on. Police say that passenger Gabriel Barajas, Jr. age 21, was killed during the accident, and a second passenger, Samuel Moralez, Jr. age 17, was seriously injured.
The Investigators with the California Highway Patrol are only looking to talk with the driver of the Charger Daytona, and they say that he or she may not even realize that they have information on the accident.
