The BlackOut Series
POL introduced the BlackOut Series power brake conversions almost a decade ago. In 2013, a mishap from a parts plating company threatened to disrupt sales of a popular brake conversion kit. POL received black powder-coated 9-inch single diaphragm power booster housings instead of the zinc-plated booster that had been ordered.
Enthusiasts that had ordered the kits were told of a delay due to the plating error. Many of these enthusiasts expressed a desire to have the black powder-coated housings with others ordering Wilwood’s black master cylinders to match the boosters. From this happy mishap, POL’s BlackOut Series power brake conversions were born.
Since that autumn day in 2013, POL has expanded the product line to include the hydro-boost and many different disc brake conversions. For more information on the different applications offered in this series, visit POL online at www.performanceonline.com.
