We know you love your musclecar, right? If you didn’t, you wouldn’t be driving it. But is it getting enough love on the internet? You post it on your Facebook groups, and then some other guy tries to one-up you by posting his picture, and pretty soon there’s a hundred pictures and yours has rolled off the page.
Well, we’re trying something new for you – our readers – and we’re going to take a little cue from Facebook and call it “Wheels Wednesday”, except we want to see the whole car not just your wheels. And what will you get for posting your car? We thought you’d never ask, so here’s the deal:

This was a picture we shot from a Goodguys show, and we did a full feature on this very cool Barracuda that the owner called EVOLVER.
Post a large, clear picture of your vehicle (car or truck) on our Facebook page and tell us a little bit about it. We’ll have a winner every week, and their vehicle will be posted as our profile picture for a full week. But there is a catch, because we’re not going to vote for anyone’s car or truck – that’s where you have to do some of the work.
After you post your picture, invite all of your friends to Like your post; visit your forums, your group pages, your friends and family, and tell them that you need them to Like your post picture because every Wednesday morning we’re going to take the picture with the most Likes and make it our profile picture.
These His and Hers Chevrolets were recently a part of our Street Features series. Perfect examples of the type of pictures that will work great for our Facebook profile picture.
Now for the rules – you knew there would be some, right? Well, here they are:
- The picture must be high quality, with a minimum of 800×533 pixels at 72 dpi. It can be higher, but should not be low quality.
- It must be the full car, either a side shot, or 3/4 view like the pictures posted here.
- The vehicle must be an American musclecar or truck through the 1980s, or an American V8 swapped in any small/import car.
- Picture must be the vehicle only, so don’t ask your girlfriend to pose in front of the car so you can get all the guys to vote for her – that’s an immediate DQ. No pets or people in the photo, no lewd or questionable pictures, they will be removed immediately.
- Tell us the year, make, model, and engine in your car.
- The hood, doors, and trunk should be closed for this picture, so break out your camera or smartphone.
Ask all your Facebook friends to vote for your car or truck, and whoever has the most after one week will have their vehicle featured for the next week as our profile picture – and that should give you enough bragging rights to show off your ride to the world.
Our Wheels Wednesday feature starts today, and you can find it on our Facebook page. Every week, we’ll update the vehicle and you can keep checking back and see if your car has won. If you get the most Likes, we’ll contact you and see if you want a full feature on your vehicle for our ongoing Street Features series. We’ll send you a message, and ask for more pictures and information should you choose to be featured.
Pictures can be full side view, or front or rear 3/4 view. A full front picture or full rear picture won't work, and it's best to have the hood, doors, and trunk closed. The Cuda in the center was one of our features from the MATS show.
So what are you waiting for? Get started and post your picture today!
