Laughlin Nevada in early Fall is a great place to be if you’re a car lover. Besides for the great weather, open garage space, and plenty of great local car guys – a big reason for this is the Roddin’ on the River event which has become a fixture on the automotive scene in the Southwest for the past 20 years. The 21st edition was held on September 27-30, 2012 and it promised to continue what has become an Autumn tradition. We won’t be the first to say, but it definitely did not disappoint.

The River Cruizers Car Club of Boulder City, Arizona produces this annual gathering which helps support charities in the local area. Over the years, the club’s charitable donations have reached nearly half a million dollars and that total continues to grow. It is obvious that this annual tradition is as important to those who produce the event as it is to those who attend.

Roddin’ on the River is open to all years, makes and models of cars, trucks, 4x4s, classics and specialty vehicles. This “big tent” entry criteria ensures that there are plenty  of magnificent vehicles to see and enjoy no matter what your preference. Combine that policy with the stature that this event has acquired over the years and it attracts some of the regions finest examples of automotive excellence. 

Any event that combines a killer automotive showcase paired with giving to a great cause is a win/win in our book and is worth supporting! This year’s weather cooperated perfectly and helped to provide the weekend enjoyment for all gathered.

Again this year, the event was held at Don Laughlin’s Riverside Hotel and Casino. The South lot of the property was teeming with row upon row of incredible hot rods, cruisers, classics and trucks.
