Sneak Peek FFR ’33 Hot Rod for SEMA

The SEMA show is a major focal point for the automotive aftermarket. Thousands of manufacturers, builders and shops gather each year in Las Vegas to show off their latest and greatest innovations, as well as some cool rides that they’ve built using their latest products.

Factory Five Racing is no stranger to the big show, and we recently came across this gorgeous ’33 Hot Rod they’ve built to show off and officially unveil at their SEMA exhibit in early November. We’ve highlighted the ’33 Hot Rod in previous articles and this car is built from the same kit that FFR customers can purchase.

Constructed by the guys at MuscleCar TV and finish assembled by Factory Five’s new master craftsman Tony Zullo, this is one great looking rod that’s sure to draw attention to the company’s booth.

This ’33 is powered by a new Ford Racing Performance Parts 5.0 “Coyote” crate engine. Backed up by a Tremec five-speed transmission, the car also utilizes FFR’s three-link performance rear suspension. The interior consists mostly of the stock FFR kit parts, with modifications by Justin Zuffante. JoAnn Bortles of Crazy Horse Painting handled the flame job, and black body paint spraying it all with PPG water base products.

Factory five has not released all the details yet on this build opting to save many of them for the unveiling at the SEMA show. The photos however do allude to some of the inside details. For instance, we noticed what appears to be a serious braking system on the front end. A couple of the pictures offer a peek on the backside of the wheels giving away the backsides of the calipers. There’s obviously also the red stitching on the interior door panels which compliments nicely the darker colors in the flame job. No details given yet on the exhaust system, we can see the oval tips and are guessing it might be a stainless system of some type but FFR has yet to make the details known. We do know also that the car now differs a bit from how it appeared when it was on the MuscleCar TV show.

With SEMA just around the corner we won’t have to wait long for Factory Five to make the full details known during the show. We’ll have our team on hand to cover the entire SEMA event and bring you the coolest cars and parts as well. Stay tuned, there’s plenty of live SEMA action coming your way right here on Rod Authority!
