When it came time for Mark Bauer Auto Restorations to complete a customer’s 1932 Ford Coupe, they elected to make use of Spectre Performance ‘s line of air intakes. Of course, this ’32 Ford was not powered by your average fixed up flathead, the customer went for the gusto by requesting a LSX crate engine.
When one begins the engine swap process there are countless speciality items that are required to complete the transformation. This 525-horsepower fuel injected engine required an air intake kit that was both visually stunning and performance friendly.
Spectre Performance offers a line of air intake kits designed for LS swaps into many classic Chevrolet vehicles, but not a ’32 Ford. Fortunately, the folks are Spectre Performance love a challenge and are ready build custom intakes for just about any application.
The owner of the ’32 was so excited about the striking air intake that additional modifications were ordered for the build. The custom designed air intake needed to visible at all times, so Mark Bauer Auto Restorations was charged with removing the side engine panels to expose Spectre Performance’s gorgeous craftsmanship.
Once the additional body modifications were complete, the ’32 Ford’s LSX engine was exposed for the world to see. Opening up the engine compartment allows bystanders to see the custom built air intake kit and allows additional cool air for the engine. Overall, the blend of modern and vintage is true work of art.
