With the recent rise in overall popularity of American vehicles (based on increased sales, better marketing, product placement in films, among other outlets), it’s good to know that auto manufacturers such as Chrysler’s Street and Racing Technology (SRT) Division remember their customers after they’ve left the showroom.
Proof of this comes from the simple fact that SRT has recently decided to host a gathering for its current owners on Belle Island during the Detroit Grand Prix. The Grand Prix race has been M.I.A for the past three years from Rock City, and SRT saw this as not only an opportunity to gather its fans and owners, but as an incredible marketing tool to build interest for the brand. We can’t say we blame them.
We’ve gotten word of this courtesy of the good people over at DriveSRT.com, and the three-day event will be held during the weekend of June 1st-3rd. In order for you to join the festivities that will include owner’s parking in the SRT Corral, seats in the grandstand, paddock passes for the races held on Saturday and Sunday, and meal vouchers, one must go on the DriveSRT site and order a ticket package.
Tickets have been priced at $150 for a couple, which is not a bad value considering everything you’re getting in return. As an added bonus, owners who show up to the event will have pictures of their cars taken, where SRT will be hosting them on their Facebook page for the fans to vote for the best cars. Winners will receive valuable prizes, plus 15 minutes of fame.
