The Street & Racing Technology Division (SRT) is back and Stellantis, and it is being run by Tim Kuniskis, a major gearhead. This confirms what we reported in April, that the HEMI would be back and the new Charger, trucks and everything else Dodge sells will be available with massively overpowered internal combustion engines.
StreetMuscleMag.com first reported that HEMI Chargers were a go in this story, The official return of SRT and Kuniskis leaves no room for doubt.
“We’re getting the band back together,” said Kuniskis of the SRT resurrection. “SRT is another box we needed to check as we head into a product launch cadence enabling more performance than we’ve ever seen before. We’re working with our product development and technology organization to select the best engineers in powertrain and vehicle dynamics to build a team worthy of the SRT name.”

Tim Kuniskis has been named Head of American Brands, Marketing, and Retail Strategy, while continuing to serve as CEO of Ram.
Since 2015, vehicles like the Challenger and Charger Hellcat, Demon and Demon 170, and Jeep Trackhawk made the company billions of dollars and established an entirely new customer based for the brand from Auburn Hills, Michigan. People who would have never considered a Dodge were flocking to dealerships to get some of that HEMI action — some were so enthusiastic they stole them right off the lots!

Two-doors or four, the Charger will be a lot better with HEMI power, but we’re betting a version with the V8 driving the rear wheels and electric motors driving the fronts will be offered.
Stellantis announced it is resurrecting the SRT performance brand, though technically it was never disbanded, and Kuniskis, the CEO of Ram, was picked lead the reestablished SRT division, which will oversee the group’s motorsports initiatives.
